Richard J. Pratt

Richard Pratt is a principal with Andersen & Company LLP. A practicing certified public accountant in Sonoma County since 1969, Richard provides strategic tax, accounting and auditing, and business advisory services for individuals and all entity types. As a credentialed personal financial specialist, Richard has substantial professional expertise and experience in financial planning. His client base emanates from a wide range of industries, including construction, wholesaling, manufacturing and professional services.

Richard began his career in 1963 with Forbes & Company, San Francisco, and then joined the Santa Rosa office of Touche Ross & Co in 1969. During his career, he has been a partner with the certified public accounting firms of Mason, Nelligan & McKee, and Linkenheimer & Company LLP, as well as a founding partner of Buchanan & Pratt, LLP. Richard combined Buchanan & Pratt with Andersen & Company LLP in 2006.

Richard is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, where he earned his bachelor's degree in business administration. He is a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants and a past member of its board of directors and various state Committees. He is also a past member of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts and the Redwood Empire Estate Planning Council. Active in his community, Richard is a graduate of the Leadership Santa Rosa Class VI and a member of the Rotary Club of West Santa Rosa.
